Jane Beyer

Born and educated in a small town in Buckinghamshire, England, Jane’s journey has been anything but ordinary. With a lifelong curiosity and sense of adventure, she traveled the world, eventually meeting her husband Carl, a scientist from Hanford. Together, they made their home in the beautiful Tri-Cities in the 1980s.

Jane’s first career was in luxury travel, where she mastered the art of listening, understanding, and making dreams come true for her clients. After years of building unforgettable experiences for others, she and Carl were enjoying their own dream life in a home along the Columbia River—until one November day, tragedy struck. A phone call from Carl delivered words she’ll never forget: “It’s gone.” Their home had been lost to a fire.

That pivotal moment, combined with the changing landscape of the travel industry, led Jane to pursue a dream she had held since childhood: a career in real estate. Inspired by a family friend in England who sold beautiful countryside homes—often with horses and dogs—Jane took her first step into the industry with an interview at Retter & Company. Under the mentorship of Dave Retter, her real estate journey truly began.

Now, with over 20 years of experience, Jane is living her best life—negotiating, marketing, and helping others find their place in the world. Known for her calm presence and sharp intuition, she believes the most powerful tool in real estate is simple: listening.
